Two Youngstown men, one of whom recently served jail time, are facing charges of receiving stolen property.
Anthony M. Salata, 37, and John M. Real, 40, were charged with receiving stolen property Saturday. Boardman police officers met Youngstown police officers at the library on the corner of Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard after the two men were arrested on warrants. Salata and Real were taken to Mahoning County jail.
The warrants stem from an incident Feb. 16 when a man reported his car stolen from his home on Woodlawn Avenue. The man told police the car was secure in his driveway when he last saw it, reports state.
Salata recently paid $325 in fines and served 75 days in jail after pleading no contest and being found guilty of eight charges of criminal trespass and one charge each of resisting arrest, obstructing justice and possession of criminal tools Feb. 22.
In that case, police issued Real a citation for driving under suspension.
