Members of Boardman High School’s senior class spent one more event together during the school’s swim party May 31 at Applewood Swim Club.
“I think it’s nice to have something organized where they can see their friends,” said Senior Adviser Leslie Garrity.
There event provided various activities, including a game of basketball, volleyball and swimming. There was also a cornhole tournament. Music blasted as students poured in wearing their best and brightest swim suits and trucks. Although the event was a joyous occasion, some students still couldn’t help but feel saddened that they would be separating from their classmates soon.
“It’s a really good way to wrap up the year, but I have mixed feelings,” senior student Anthony Pacella said.
Students ate hot dogs and hamburgers, laughed amongst each other and enjoyed the weather throughout the day. The party not only provided a fun experience for senior students, but also gave them one last memory that they can cherish with their classmates before they all embark on different paths.
“This will be a memory I’ll have of hanging out with everyone I went to school with,” senior student Ryan Knapik said.
